National Institute of Wind Energy issued EOI for 1 MWp Solar PV Power Plant

National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), Chennai (Formerly Centre for Wind Energy Technology) is an autonomous Research & Development Institution under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India.

NIWE, on behalf of CMWSSB, Chennai is inviting submission of Expression of Interest (EOI) from suitable, reputed and experienced interested Parties for “Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance of 1 MWp Solar PV Power Plant on Roof Top of Underground Tank at Chembarambakkam 530 MLD Water Treatment Plant, Chennai for Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) under RESCO Model and Execution of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CMWSSB, Chennai for 25 years”.

The selected party shall execute the project meeting the standards and technical requirements of both Central and State agencies. It is the bidders’ responsibility to evaluate the site conditions and the technical compliance during the submission of bid in a later stage. NIWE’s requirements on behalf of CMWSSB, Chennai. Only parties participating in the EOI are eligible for participating in the tender which will be announced by NIWE, Chennai at a later stage.

The Interested Bidders should submit and upload their EOI proposal in the CPP-Portal which is due at 15.30 hrs on 12.03.2020”. The proposals will be opened online at 15.30hrs on 13.03.2020. All other documents relevant to the Expression of Interest wherever sought in the EOI document shall also be uploaded along with the proposal. Any Physical submission of documents shall be rejected summarily.

The Bidders participating in the EOI shall prepare their documents based on the following conditions.

i. The base unit(kWh) tariff shall not exceed Rs.4.50/-

ii. The mode of payment by CMWSSB, Chennai shall be on monthly basis.

iii. The RESCO Company shall fix the minimum number of units (kWh) to be procured by CMWSSB, Chennai.

iv. The RESCO parties should mandatorily visit the project site for analysis project feasibility before attending the EOI meeting.

v. Only EOI participants enrolled/registered in e-procurement through the website https://eprocure.gov.in/eprocure/app are eligible. The portal enrolment is free of cost. Bidders are advised to go through instructions provided at CPP portal.
